N1.6bn fraud: Court frees Jonathan’s ex-aide, banker
The Federal High Court in Lagos has discharged and acquitted a former Senior Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic Affairs, Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, and a banker, Joseph Iwuejo, who were charged with N1.6bn fraud.

Burundi withdraws from ICC
Burundi on Friday became the first ever nation to leave the International Criminal Court, set up some 15 years ago to prosecute those behind the world’s worst atrocities.
“Burundi’s withdrawal from the Rome Statute will take effect on Friday, 27 October 2017,” an ICC spokesperson told AFP.

FG allocates N6.9bn for Villa zoo, presidential fleet, others
The Presidency is proposing to spend a total sum of N6.94bn on wildlife conservation, fuel and lubricants, purchase of C-Caution triangles for vehicles, fire extinguishers, construction of recreational facilities at the State House and maintain the presidential fleet.
Details of the spending are contained in the 2016 budget, which President Muhammadu Buhari presented to a joint session of the National last week.
Female suicide bombers now attack after asking water for ablution, defence chief warns Nigerians
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, has warned that female suicide bombers have deployed a new tactic to carry out their nefarious activity. Speaking at the end of year conference with principal staff officers of the Defence Headquarters yesterday Dec. 30th, Olonisakin said that female bombers now get easy access to people's homes by requesting for water to perform ablution.
