Memorise: The four & twenty elders fall down before him dat sat on d throne & worship him that liveth for ever & ever & cast their crowns before the throne,saying,Thou art worthy, O Lord,to receive Glory & Honour & power: for thou hast created all things & for thy pleasure they are & were created. Rev 4:2-11
You can take different positions in worship,but a great position in which to worship God is to go flat on your face on d ground. Do u know dis is still d practice in Heaven? Rev.4:10 "speaks about the 4 & 20 elders"
When u go on your face before God, you are telling God that u are not in any way competing with him. You are making yourself of no reputation in His presence. It means everything u have amounts to nothing. Dis is why the 24 elders in their highly exalted position in Heaven push their crowns aside,lie flat on their faces before God & worship God. Some of us are still very proud when
we say we have come worship to God. D clothes we wear are far more important to us than the worship we need to offer God. How much is dat cloth? Wen ur life isn't even enough to worship God,is it a cloth of a few 1000's of Naira,Pounds,Dollars or Euro dat will be of greater worth to you?
Wen u lie on d ground before Him,you are saying,'Not I but thou be seen, heard & feared oh Lord'. If u can,dis is a great position to take whenever u truly want to worship the Lord. It is a position of complete & absolute surrender. It is a position of showing ur depth of weakness so dat His strength can take over. It is a position dat shows u count yourself as noting so dat He can take u up. It is a position dat wil definitely get something out of God. How do u worship God? If u go to Him telling Him dat u are strong,He may either let u go jst d way u came or even take away D strength u think u have. But a broken & a contrite heart God can't despise.
KEY POINT
If your worship is devoid of humility,it will not be accepted.
