The incident which occurred between 11.30pm and 12.30am was said to have been caused by defective tracks.

Reps approve 14 years imprisonment for same sex marriage


The House of Representatives yesterday Thursday May 29th approved 14 years imprisonment for persons who contracted same sex marriage in the country.

This was sequel to a clause-by-clause consideration of a Bill for an Act to prohibit marriage or union entered between persons of same sex, at the Committee of the Whole.

“Marriage or civil union entered between persons of same gender shall not be solemnised in any place of worship, either church or mosque or any place in Nigeria,” it said.

Idimu Community Primary School, Idimu, Lagos has two classes of pupils. One resume with their teachers by 8am and closes by 2pm. As soon as it is 2pm, the other set of ‘pupils’, made up of area boys and hoodlums, take over. Any teacher they meet in the school premises is harassed and forced out.

“Mama Tisa, ago meji ti lu o. E ko eru yin k’ee ma lo si ile yin. Abi aago meji ko ni Ijoba sanwo fun yin de ni? E jade, awa boys ti de,” they would say in Yoruba. This means, “Mama teacher (referring to the headmistress), it’s 2pm.

SAD: Two crushed to death as trailer falls on car on Airport road


This sad incident occurred on Monday night May 27th along Airport road in Mafoluku, Lagos. A trailer carrying heavy duty rods lost control and fell on a car with three people inside.

Kwara govt shuts state polytechnic

A video has gone viral at the Awodi-Ora Estate area of Ajegunle, Lagos State.
It is the video of two known teenage boys ráping a girl also known in the area.

Man, 60, allegedly kills wife over N500


LAGOS — Oronna Street in Abule-Egba area of Lagos was, yesterday, thrown into confusion after a 60-year-old man who allegedly killed his wife over his missing N500, locked himself up with the corpse.

Reports said fight broke out after the man identified as Gbadebo Elegbede, accused his 17-year-old son of stealing his N500 at about 7am. His wife, Maria, was said to have defended his son, an action that reportedly led to a verbal confrontation with her husband,which degenerated into a scuffle.
