Oyo State: Ajimobi Defeats Ladoja At Tribunal


Former Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja yesterday lost his petition against the election of Governor Abiola Ajimobi, ending six months of legal tussle.

The governorship election petitions tribunal, sitting in Ibadan, the state capital, held that Ladoja and his party, Accord, “failed woefully” to prove their case.

N10m fraud: Court Convicts Man in absentia


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC yesterday secured the conviction of one Alhaji Uba Mohammed pictured above, on a two count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and fraud before Justice Salisu Garba of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Abuja. The accused however has not been caught but was tried in absentia.
