MTV VMA: Cardi B, Missy Elliot, Taylor Swift win big

Cardi B, Taylor Swift and Missy Elliot were among the biggest winners at the 2019 MTV VMA awards. The awards, which were held on Monday night, celebrated outstanding music videos churned out within the review year.
Taylor Swift picked up two awards, including ‘video of the year’, in a girl-powered start to the Awards show while rapper Cardi B won best hip-hop video.

Why we hiked Nigerian applicants’ visa fees – US

 

Nigerian citizens applying for United States’ visas will be required to pay a visa issuance fee, or reciprocity fee, with effect from August 29.

The reciprocity fee will be charged in addition to the non-immigrant visa application fee, also known as the Machine Readable Visa fee, which all applicants pay at the time of application.

Man nabbed for defiling five-year-old girl in Yola

 

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Abdullahi Adamu, aka Adati, 19, for defiling a five-year-old girl.

The spokesman for the command, DSP Suleiman Ngoroje, confirmed the arrest in Yola on Tuesday.

Court orders el-Rufai, police to pay Choc City boss, Maikori N40m

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday awarded N40m to the President of Chocolate City Group, Audu Maikori, as compensation for his unlawful arrest and detention between February 17 and 18, 2017 and again March 10 and 13, 2017.
