The Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Chief Obasi Nwode, has died in a fatal road
accident along Abakaliki-Afikpo expressway in the state, while four others sustained various degrees of injuries.
We learnt that he died on Sunday evening, while returning from inspection of some of his projects scheduled to be commissioned by Governor Martin Elechi
during the ongoing ‘Thank You Tour’ to LGAs in the state.
The deceased rode in his car, a Hilux Van, with registration number: LG 01A NCA.
The incident occurred at Nkwagu Military Cantonment, at about 4:30 pm on the fateful
